"World domination, of course!" - A controversial quote from Slug-Man Story 1.

William 'Bill' Large is know to the public as the company president of the Bio-Slime Corporation, although his private life is a mystery to many. He is the primary antagonist of Slug-Man Story 1.

Character[]

Appearance[]

Bill is a sturdily-built man who lives up to his last name, with a heavy frame. He has fair skin and deep lines in his face from business scowling. His hair is styled in a signature curl, and is glossy and dark black, occasionally seen streaked with grey. He dresses smartly but rarely overdresses, letting his status speak for itself and accessorising with a simple bowtie.

Personality[]

Sharp, shrewd and resourceful, he is merciless and extremely profit-oriented. He can be stubborn and is extremely persistent once he's set his sights on a threat or potential acquisition. Though confident in his intelligence, his influence and his family's power, he rarely borders on overconfidence, making him a dangerous force to face off against. He enjoys excess and culture.

Skills & Abilities[]

He is a normo, but is an extremely talented salesman, a clever negotiator, and has a powerful mathematic mind.

History[]

Born into the wealthy Large family, Bill was afforded a private education at Sir E. Leet's Boys Comprehensive, where he discovered and kindled his passion for mathematics, governing and making money. He also made several rich and influential allies, such as Henry Winford-Sloan. Following this he worked his way through All-American Awesome before amassing enough funds to break off and start his own enterprise.

Beginning small by securing a stranglehold on the British animal food industry, business went steadily and uneventfully, with a few steroid scandals here and there, but the turning point was when Bill hired for his scientific research for animal food development team one Tybalt Cobra. Their collaboration resulted in a serum that could boost an organism’s growth and nutrition potential by up to 300%, and stock prices soared. Bill was intelligent enough though to not sell the recipe, using his exclusive access to dominate the market.

However, the allure of more advancement and more scientific glory meant Bill did not take much convincing to allow Cobra to advance his field of work. Bill was hungry for more money and expansion in his business and so showered Cobra's research department with funding; this and the fact that Cobra already had a basis, the Mark IV serum, that led to rapid developments and large profits. As Cobra tinkered and toyed with the solution, growing more and more depraved in his visions, Large negotiated with the government of Iraz to secure trade deals if the research proved that the serum could be used in weaponry.

At some point during the collaboration between Cobra and Large, the latter allowed the former to use his DNA in creating a few hybrid beings, one of which broke out after a moral crisis and the other of which broke out after an identity crisis. Large has displayed no interest in where the two went, expressing that both were Cobra’s pet projects and that a successful clone of the two would be too intelligent and therefore a threat.

Having created the Bio-Slime Monster, Large and Cobra were escorted to Iraz alongside one Epic Eye Scar Guy and tests were underway, when Bill was ordered to destroy Cobra using the creation and, shocked, refused. This scuffle for control over the monster led to it running amok before being halted by Slug-Man, a former Bio-Slime Laboratories assistant who had been transformed in a botched murder attempt. Large, Cobra and Epic Eye Scar Guy were sent adrift on a boat with a tiger as punishment. It is unknown what has happened to them since.

Relationships[]

Tybalt Cobra[]

“Fat cat, little mouse. Build my empire for me, doctor.”

Cobra and Large are close, to the point of rumours spreading about their private lives. Cobra's no-limits research style meshes well with Large's policy of throwing money at things to make things happen, and as such they form a diabolical duo.

Annecy Ambler-Diamond[]

“You're a sad story, Annie, dear. Why not leave the drunk and the wasteful behind?”

Although he behaves as if he is dismissive and somewhat disgusted by his cousin, Bill pities Annecy and, as a result, avoids her, because he doesn't like feeling sympathy towards others. Used to only looking out for himself, he is uncomfortable with the feeling of wanting to protect his pathetic cousin from her chaotic immediate family.

Trivia[]

  • His name is a pun on a 'large bill', being either a piece of paper currency with a high value or a bill for a product that is extraordinarily expensive.
